Edge finishing by hand

Here at Edwin Bell we believe in finishing the edges of our leather items using natural traditional finishes applied by hand.

In the video you can see a beeswax oil blend being applied to the edge of a belt. Then burnished by hand with a wooden edge slicker.

We actively avoid modern finishes as these are often made of synthetic ingredients. Although these modern edge finishes look perfect to start with, over time they degrade and start to peel off.
